Report The results of the preliminary round are not mentioned.What is mentioned however, is that there was a shortage of tennis balls: during the match they were exchanged after 13 and not the usual 7 games.Furthermore, the tournament officials did not give them to the public.Instead the balls remained at the club for further use.Since most of the german tennis balls were produced at the Dunlop Factory in Hanau, it can be assumed that the factory already adapted its production to the requirements of the Wehrmacht.
