Info Draw: 15

From The Field Lawn Tennis Calendar (1886): The London Athletic Club were so satisfied with the success of their tournament of last year, that it was determined this season to institute London Championships for both ladies and gentlemen, and to this end offered challenge cups, in addition to valuable first prizes, in order to induce good entries. Somehow or other, the number of those who sent in their names for these events was very limited, there being only fifteen for the gentlemens and seven for the ladies.
