"Rain seriously interfered play on thursday and on friday almost entirely prevented it. But the condition of the 12 courts was excellent.
The final was played in very bad weather as well. Meers played with eyeglasses and that was difficult. Bowlby was two times within a point of the championship in the third set. Double faults were more numerous than usual."
