Bill Reedy was the brother of fellow tennis player Jeanne Reedy (later Mrs Austin) whose five children would also go on to be tennis players. The youngest of the five, Bill Reedy’s niece Tracy Austin, would reach no. 1 world in the world and win the women’s singles title at the U.S. Open twice, in 1979 and 1981.
