Boys, William Alves, K.C., M.P., of Boys & Boys. Barristers. Born in Barrie, Ontario, July 9, 1868, son of Judge William Fuller Alves Boys and Mary Frances (Morgan) Boys. Educated Public School: Collegiate Institute: Called to the Bar, 1893; created King’s Counsel, 1910. Elected to House of Commons for South Simcoe, 1912; re-elected, 1917; re-elected in 1921. Chief Whip, Conservative Party. Mayor of Barrie, 1902-1904. County Commissioner, 1905-1907. Warden, Simcoe County, 1907. Ex-President, Ontario Municipal Association, 1904. Bencher of Law Society of Upper Canada.

Past President, Ontario Curling Association Team. Past President, Canadian Tennis Association; won Quebec Championship, 1905; and All-Canadian Championship, 1906. Holder of many trophies in tennis hockey, skating, curling, bowling and golf competitions.

Married Sophie Reiner, daughter of Reverend Canon Reiner, 1895. Societies: Independent Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.); Sons of England (S.O.E.): Loyal Orange Lodge (L.O.L.). Anglican.
