Mills, Major Arthur Lennox Stanley, B.A., M.A., B.C.L., of Burnett & Co., Stockbrokers, established 1868, 12 Saint Sacrament Street, Montreal, Quebec. Born in Montreal, June 27, 1890, son of late Bishop of Ontario, Right Reverend William Lennox Mills, D.D., L.L.D., D.C.L., of Montreal, and Katharine Sophia Bagg, of Montreal.

Educated Saint Alban’s School, Brockville; Queen’s University; Oxford University; McGill University (B.A., Queen’s; M.A., Oxon; B.C.L., McGill). Called to the Bar of Quebec in 1914. Served with 24th Canadian Battalion, Victoria Rifles, as Lieutenant-Captain and Major in France from 1915 1917. Deputy-Assistant, Adjutant-General, Headquarters, Ottawa, end of 1917 to 1919 Mentioned in Despatches and awarded Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) for Vimy Ridge attack, 1917.

Married Martha Georgina Smithers, daughter of George H. Smithers, Montreal, February 2, 1918; has two sons. Clubs: University (Montreal); United Services (Canada); Royal Montreal Golf; Mount Royal Tennis; Montreal Indoor Tennis; Mount Bruno Country. Societies: Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity; McGill.
