A sales agent/salesman by profession, Pride Morey Lewis won the men’s singles title at the International Canadian Championships in 1939, on the eve of World War Two during which he served in the U.S. Army. After the end of the war he won a second men’s singles title at the same tournament, in Ottawa in 1946.
