"C. W. HARVEY RITES SET TODAY

Funeral services for Curran Whitthorne Harvey, 71, who died Saturday at his home at 1404 Carrollton avenue, Ruxton, will be held at 2 P. M. today.

Following the private services, he will be buried in New Cathedral Cemetery.

Mr. Harvey was born at Catonsville and attended Hill School at Pottstown, Pa. He graduated from Harvard University in 1909.

During his college career he was a member of the baseball team. After college he continued playing baseball with Baltimore and metropolitan area amateur leagues, including the Maryland Athletic Club, Wallbrook, Catonsville, Sparrows Point and L'Hirondelle (Ruxton) clubs.

Mr. Harvey also was a tennis player of high caliber and during the early 1920's was listed with his brother, F. Barton Harvey, among the top ten in the Middle Atlantic Sectional rankings for men's doubles.

A business man, Mr. Harvey spent his entire business life in Baltimore city. He had been in retirement for some years at his Ruxton residence.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Charlotte Cromwell Harvey; a son, Curran W. Harvey, Jr., of Oyster Bay, L.I.; a daughter, Mrs. Harvey S. Brooks, of Eccleston; two brothers Alexander Harvey and F. Barton Harvey, of Baltimore, and a sister, Mrs. Eben E. Whitman, of Lawrence, L.I."
