About

Merrimon Cunninggim attended Oxford University, England, and Yale University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Divinity and a PhD in Education. He was later ordained and became a Methodist minister, subsequently being appointed Professor of Religion at Emory and Henry College in Emory, Virginia, and at Pomona Pomona College in Claremont, California, as well as Dean of Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. During World War Two, he served as a chaplain in the U.S. Navy. In later life he worked as a consultant for several organisations.
