Report In 1911 german professional tennis coaches founded their own association,the“ Verein Deutscher Tennislehrer“ (VDT).This was the first organisation of its kind in the world and it can be seen as a forerunner of the ATP.
In 1912 the association of german professional tennis coaches started their own championships.The event was held indoors in the covered courts facilities of the Bremer Tennisverein von 1896 which also organized the
German International Covered Court Championships since 1911.The official championship roll of the VDT only lists Hannemann.However,other sources say that there was an international competition which was won by
Roman Najuch.
