A shipping agent; Sole Partner of Miller, Weedon & Company, Forwarding & Commission Agents, Point, Durban. Attached to Sir Charles Warren’s Staff as Scout during Ladysmith Relief Operations. Married fellow player Norah Hickman, who won the singles title at the Natal Championships a record-equalling eight times and the South African singles title three times. Their daughter Winifred (later Mrs Lowe) would become one of South Africa’s best tennis players of the 1920s and 1930s.
