About

Jean Moreau de Breuil de Saint-German was a writer and soldier. He took part in the Transvaal War in 1897 and, later in World War One, when he had the rank of lieutenant. He was killed in action in February 1915 when going to the aid of some of his men, some of whom were already dead or had been injured. He was awarded the War Cross with Palm (Croix de Guerre avec palme) and made a Knight of the Legion of Honour.
