Lord Pollington or more accurate Viscout Pollington was the courtesy title of John Christopher George Savile from 1945 to 1980.
In 1980 he succeded his father as 8th Earl of Mexborough of Lifford,Viscount Pollington of Ferns (1766) and 8th Baron Pollington of Longford (1753).
Just like his father he is a wealthy landowner in Yorkshire.However,his father seems to have been a more ambitious tennis player.
