About

Frederick Pollard attended John Marshall High School in Richmond, Virginia, before going on to Richmond College, where he obtained his B.A. Subsequently, he attended the University of Virginia, where he received his M.A. in June 1906 after just one year of study. He then entered the law school at the same university, obtaining his B.L. in 1908 and being admitted to the Bar in the summer of the same year.

After practicing law alone for several years Frederick Pollard became junior member in the firm Pollard, Smith and Pollard in September 1914; this firm also included his brother, Robert, and Hiram M. Smith. A very promising career in law was cut short by Frederick Pollard’s untimely death in the summer of 1915, just a few weeks after his thirtieth birthday.
