Won Illinois State High School Team Tennis Championships in 1936. Won
Illinois Little 19 College Conference and Illinois College Conference singles
and doubles.
President, Southeastern Michigan Tennis Association, 1963-66. Member,
Western Tennis Association Executive Committee since 1964. Director, Detroit
Patrons Tennis Association since 1967. Served on USTA Amateur Rules
committee in 1968, and Davis Cup policy committee in 1969 and 70. Member
USTA Grievance committee since 1969, and chair of that committee since 1970.
Member, USTA Constitutions and Rules committee since 1971. President of the
Western Tennis Association, 1972, 73. He served on the USTA Executive
committee, 1972, 73. Was named USTA Tennis Family of the Year in 1974. He
served on the USTA Nominating committee in 1974. He is a USTA life member
and a life umpire.
Vice-President, General Counsel and Secretary, American Motors
Corporation.
