About

Buddy Lomax (born 1934) was born in Laurel, Mississippi and started playing tennis at the age of 13. He attended Tulane University on a tennis scholarship (1952-1956) where he won 3 singles and doubles championships. After graduating from Tulane he entered the United States Army where he served for 33 years reaching the rank of Brigadier General. After retiring he began competing in national tennis championships. He represented the U.S. internationally in the Von Cramm Cup, the USA Britannia Cup and the ITF Cup Championship.
