About

Stan Hack, jnr., was the son of two other tennis players, Stan Hack, snr., and Dorothy Hack (née Weisel). Dorothy was at one point ranked as high as no. 3 in singles in the USA. Stan Hack, jnr., attended the University of California at Los Angeles where he was a member of the tennis team. He later joined the U.S. Air Force, receiving his Navigator Wings in 1958. He won the Air Force Tennis Championships in singles and doubles (with Gary Farmer) several times. After a number of postings in the U.S. Air Force, including to Vietnam, he retired with the rank of major in 1979. He died from complications following surgery for a brain tumour.
