About

This particular Mark Fenwick was born in October 1860 in the village of Sandgate in the Folkestone and Hythe district of Kent. At the beginning of the 1880s, he was working as a clerk in a bank in Newcastle-upon-Tyne in Northumberland. When the Census of England and Wales was taken in 1891, he was still living in Northumberland; the same census lists his occupation as banker. In later years he was living on ‘private means’ in Gloucester, where he died in January 1945 at the age of 84.
