Wilfred Flockton Rodgers was the youngest son of the late George Joseph Rodgers, of the well-known cutlery firm of Joseph Rodgers and Sons, Sheffield; and Gertrude Rodgers (née Flockton). Wilfred was on the board of directors of that firm, and was also managing director of Cocker Brothers, Sheffield.
