R.G. DeBerry Is Killed In Wreck In Louisiana
Mrs. Bertha DeBerry of Carnegie, was called to Odessa, Tex., last Thursday to attend the funeral of her grandson, R.G. DeBerry, Jr., who was killed in an automobile accident near Jennings, La., on January 25.
R.G. DeBerry was fatally injured in a two-car collision near Jennings, La., while enroute to New Orleans to move a sister, Marlene, from the Baptist seminary there to Hardin-Simmons university at Abilene, Tex. Details of the accident were not learned.
Mrs. DeBerry was accompanied to Odessa by her two daughters, Mrs. Bill Lott of Mangum, and Mrs. William Etting of Gruver, Tex.
The wreck victim is survived by his widow and two children, a daughter, Melinie, 22 months old, and a son, David, six weeks old.
He was associated with his father in the insurance business at Odessa.
