From The Age (Melbourne), 28 April 1925
Mr Frederick B. Waters, aged 53, whose death occurred on Saturday evening last at a private hospital, Melbourne, was a well-known solicitor, of Collins Street, who resided at Kew. Mr Waters took an active interest in sports, and was the eldest son of the late Edward Waters, patent attorney, of Collins Street.
Fredrick Waters was one of the most prominent figures in lawn tennis circles some twenty years ago, both on the council of the association and as a representative inter-state player. His list of achievements included the men’s doubles championship of Victoria, won in partnership with Ben Green, and also the mixed doubles championship, in which he was associated with his sister, Mrs Horace Wimpole [née Florence Waters].
