Toler Garvey won the men’s singles title several times winner at the early King’s County and Ormonde Tournament, which had the title of Irish Midland Counties Championships, in his native Parsonstown in King’s County (now Birr in County Offaly). Toler Garvey was a land agent by profession and also a Justice of the Peace (J.P.).
