Obituary – Mr Leslie E. Morgan

Glengarry has lost one of its most prominent residents by the death of Mr Leslie E. Morgan last Monday. Born in Hobart in 1870, he was educated under the late Reverend Frank Shann. He started business life with Alex Macgregor, merchant, Hobart. Settling in Launceston in 1893, he was a sharebroker for some years, and later joined, as partner, Mr S.B. Hopwood, stationer.

He was well known in tennis and musical circles, and took a prominent part in each. In 1915, he became an orchardist at Glengarry, where he lived until his death. He leaves a widow [née Muriel Gordon Lowe] and a daughter, Mrs R. Browning.
