Alexander Hadow was the brother of Frank Hadow who, in 1878, became the second player to win the men’s singles title at the Wimbledon Championships. Alexander, Frank and five of their six brothers all attended Harrow public school in London, and were consequently known as the “Harrow Hadows”.
