Henry Monck graduated from Christ Church College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.). He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Coldstream Guards. He fought in the Egyptian Campaign in 1882. He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of County Wicklow. He fought in the East Sudan Campaign in 1885.

?He held the office of High Sheriff of County Wicklow in 1887. He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Dublin. He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baron Monck of Ballytrammon, County Wexford [U.K., 1866], on 29 November 1894. He succeeded to the title of 5th Baron Monck of Ballytrammon, County Wexford [I., 1797], on 29 November 1894. He succeeded to the title of 5th Viscount Monck of Ballytrammon [I., 1801], on 29 November 1894.?
