Studied law at Cambridge University, England.Called to the Bar in 1870.Took the name of Bagnall-Wild on November 23, 1868, on succeeding to the estate of his godfather.Brigadier-General in the Royal Air Force (aircraft production) during World War One. In 1885, he introduced the ?Bagnall-Wild? system to lawn tennis, whereby all ?byes? are restricted to the first round.
