Thomas Hamilton Weldon was the brother of fellow lawn tennis player Anthony A. Weldon. Both brothers attended Cambridge University.

Weldon, Thomas Hamilton. Admitted pensioner, at Trinity, October 10, 1881. [2nd] son of Sir Anthony Crosdill, Baronet, of Kilmorony, Athy, Co. Kildare (and Elizabeth Caroline Thomasina, daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel Arthur Kennedy, 18th Hussars). School, Charterhouse. Matriculated Michaelmas 1881. Joined the Portsmouth Division of the Submarine Miners, 1891; Captain, 3rd Leinster Regiment, 1900. Served in the South African War, 1899-1902 (Army Service Corps). Subsequently Manager of the Trevenna Brewery, Pretoria.
