Hall, Thomas Hammond. Canadian Manager, General Accident, Fire and Life Assurance Corporation, Ltd.; General Manager and Director, General Accident Assurance Co. of Canada, Bay and Temperance Streets, Toronto, Ontario; General Manager and Director, Scottish Canadian Assurance Corporation, Toronto, incorporated 1920. Born in Ontario, son of Rev Thomas Hall and Martha Caroline Hammond Hall, of Londonderry, Ireland.

Educated Public and High Schools, Toronto, Ontario. Joined London Lancashire Fire Insurance Co. as Junior, 1889, and worked up through all departments to Chief Inspector, covering a period of nineteen years; spent two years at Waterloo, Ontario, for the company whilst purchasing the Mercantile Fire Insurance Co. A few years later Mr Hall went to Quebec to assume charge of the Quebec Fire Insurance Co., purchased by the London Lancashire Fire Insurance Co., for the purpose of reorganizing same, which he accomplished with great success.

Manager, General Accident, Fire and Life Assurance Corporation. Ltd., Toronto, 1908-1927. Organized General Accident, Fire and Life Assurance Corporation, Toronto, Canadian Branch, from the ground up and has successfully underwritten a business turn over amounting to $600,000. Vice-President, Canadian Fire Underwriters Association, 1915-1916; President, Canadian Fire Underwriters Association, 1917-1918; General Manager and Director General Accident Assurance Co., Toronto, since November 1, 1917.

Married Clarabel Webb, daughter of Dr J.H. Webb, Waterloo, Ontario, 1898; deceased, 1921; has one son and three daughters. Clubs: York; National; Toronto Golf; Toronto Lawn Tennis. Society: Ancient Free and Accepted Masons (A.F. and A.M.). Recreations: tennis, golf. Conservative. Anglican.
