Frederick Hadden was a tea planter in Ceylon for several years during the latter part of the nineteenth and the beginning of the twentieth century. His brother, Lieutenant Francis J. Hadden, was also a lawn tennis player and a tea planter in Ceylon. Fred was the better player of two.
