Trevor Laver was the younger brother of the great Rod Laver. For 30 years Trevor operated a sports store in Goondoon Street in Gladstone Central, Queensland. After selling the sports store, Trevor set up the first Gladstone squash courts in Toolooa Street. A keen and gifted fisherman, he was also responsible for setting up the Lite Gear Fishing Club in 1951.
