About

Karl Baco was born in 1935 in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia into a family which belonged to the german minority.In 1955
he defected to West Germany together with his yugoslavian compatriots Laci Legenstein and Vladimir Petrovic.Unlike them,he was immediately able to become a german citizen.In the following years he managed to secure a place in the German National Rankings.He was Bavarian National Champion in 1959,1960,1962 and 1963.In 1964 he became a teaching pro and was hired by the Netherlands Tennis Association to coach the young Tom Okker.
