President of the PZT from August 11, 1945 to February 9, 1947; honorary president from February 9, 1947 to February 11, 1951.

Journalist, politician, MP, military and sports activist.

In 1915 he graduated from the Konopczyński gymnasium in Warsaw, after which he joined the Polish Legions. In 1918 he became a professional officer of the Polish Army. In the interwar period, he worked in the Press Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the secretary of the editorial office of "Kurier Warszawski".
In the years 1929–1932 an active player, and then an activist (vice-president) in the WKS Legia club. Tennis champion of the Polish Army. Sports captain of the Daviscup team in 1934–1939.

During World War II, he co-founded the organization of the resistance movement "Związek Działu Zbrojnego", of which he was the vice-commandant (1939–1941). He was also the vice president and head of the Political Department of the Polish Freedom Association. He took part in the Warsaw Uprising as a lieutenant - commander of the PZW units, pseud. "Leliwa", "Sawicki". He was a delegate to the Uprising Democratic Agreement as a representative of "Centralization".

In 1945, he joined the Labor Party, where he was vice-president and later president of the Provincial Board in Kraków. He sat on the Main Board of the SP. From 1946 he was a member of the National National Council. In 1947 he became a member of the Legislative Seym. After the dissolution of the SP in 1950, he became a member of the Democratic Party and its deputy. He was a member of the Central SD Committee and deputy chairman of the Provincial Party Committee in Krakow.

Member of the PZT Organizing Committee after World War II. In 1946 he was awarded the Honorary Badge for Merit of the PZT.
