About

Ernest M. Wigram was the brother of fellow lawn tennis player Alfred M. Wigram. They were two of the children of Money Wigram, a shipbuilder and ship owner and director of the Bank of England, and Anne Wigram (née Whitaker Maitland). Although he took part in a few lawn tennis tournaments, Ernest M. Wigram was more well known as a cricketer. He achieved first-class status at the latter sport. He died in June 1906 at the early age of 43.
