Franklin Jackson, as he was known, was the brother of fellow tennis player Nathaniel Jackson. Franklin notably won the men’s singles title at the American Tennis Association (ATA) Championships in 1935 and 1938, and the men’s doubles title at the same tournament six times, always with his brother Nathaniel: in 1931, 1933, 1934, 1935 and 1938.
