Son of the late Alfred L. Grima and Emma C. Pugh
Grandson of Walter Pugh, one of the most prosperous planters on the Teche, and Judge Felix Grima.

Born in the old Grima House on St. Louis Street.

Retired attorney
Educated at Georgetown University.

Served with the United States Army on the Mexican border and during World War I as a captain in France. He was wounded during the Meuse-Argonne offensive.

A member of the Louisiana Bar Association, the Boston Club, the board of the Louisiana State Museum, and of several carnival organizations. Since 1940 he had served as a member of selective service board No. 11.

Survived by his widow, Clarisse Claiborne Grima; a sister, Mrs. Bradish Johnson of New York; a niece, Adelaide Johnson, who is with the Red Cross in France; and a nephew, Lieutenant Alfred Grima Johnson, who is with the army in Germany.
