About

Charles Alison studied law at Cambridge University in England and later qualified as a barrister. He lived for several years in the town of Wyong, New South Wales, where his father, William, had taken the family circa 1871. William Alison bought a good deal of land as well as farms and sheep stations in the area.

In later life Charles Alison lived for a time in Belgium. One of his children, Pauline Olive Alison, later also took part in lawn tennis tournaments, in Belgium and elsewhere.

Admitted at the Middle Temple, October 9, 1879, as Allison, C. Called to the Bar, 1884. Of Sydney, New South Wales, in 1885. Resident at Knocke, Belgium, in 1938.
