McKittrick Jones played singles and doubles at the 1904 Olympic Games, which were held in his hometown of St. Louis. Jones also entered all of the demonstration tennis events for which he was eligible, the World’s Fair singles and doubles (although he withdrew from round one), and the Louisiana Purchase Open singles. Jones entered the 1897 US Championships, but withdrew, losing in round one by a walkover. He was also considered a fairly good golfer in St. Louis.
