George Clark Durham, 88, grandson of A. A. Durham who founded Lake Oswego, and the Rev. Harvey Clark who gave part of his donation land claim for the campus of Pacific University, died Sunday at Salem. His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Frank at St. David's Episcopal Church, Portland, with private committal in Riverview Cemetery.
Mr. Durham was born May 27, 1874, at Portland, son of attorney George E. Durham, and lived here all of his life until he moved to Cannon Beach 12 years ago.
Survivors include two sons, Dr. Edward J. Durham, Yonkers, N.Y., and Dr. George S. Durham, Northampton, Mass.; one daughter, Mrs. Mary McDonald, Cannon Beach; one sister, Mrs. Frank E. Thayer, Whittier, Calif.; six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
