About

George Wagner was a pupil at the State Normal School in Buffalo before going on to Cornell University (Class of 1899), where he studied civil engineering. He was an engineer for the Lackawanna Steel Company in Buffalo from 1900-03, and for the Buffalo Susquehanna Railway Company from 1904-05. He later became managing director of the Goodyear Lumber Company in Buffalo, and president of the Buffalo-Ontario Smelting and Refining Company and of the Terry and Tench Company, Inc., in New York City.
