Bernie gave lessons at the Racquet Club to the likes of Hepburn, Cary Grant etc. He married Mary Jane Pershing in Palm Springs. MJP was great niece of General Pershing and daughter of Frank Pershing -Councilman in Palm Springs in the 30s.
