About

André Prévost was the brother of fellow lawn tennis player Jeanne Prévost. They were two of the children of Guillaume Ernest Hippolyte Prévost, a landowner from Paris, and Jeanne Antoinette Clémentine Prévost (née Königswarter, who had German and Austrian ancestors.)

At the Olympic Games in Paris in 1900, André Prévost won a bronze medal in the men’s doubles event with Guy de la Chapelle. Prévost did not pursue a profession and is listed in some sources as a landowner. He married twice, in 1911 and 1919, and had two children with each of his wives. Both of his marriages ended in divorce.
